One of my last memories of my late husband--was on my last birthday with him. We were leaving church and I told him I wanted to go to have a brownie at our local brewery. He looked great but died in his sleep from a cardiac anathema a few days later. He said, you don't need a brownie (I was at my heaviest ever--he weighed what he weighted in his Army days). I told him I just needed attention because no one at church said anything and the server would sing Happy Birthday. He put his hands on my shoulders and pulled me to his handsome face, stared at me for what felt like eternity (I was thinking he was losing it) then asked me if that was enough attention. It melted my heart and I said yes, in retrospect, I wish that wasn't all he would be giving me. However, after his death I wish I had been as physically fit as he had been because he deserved as wife in as good as shape as he seemed to be because it felt to good to hold him. I also realize my kids need me to last longer than he did. So I have been working on losing weight the past year plus and now have joined a meetup group at http://www.meetup.com/SayBye2Fat/ and my local Gold's Gym and will get back in shape a bit later than I wish I had done but not too late for the rest of my life. Love this website and hope others find it as helpful as I do. Joined Gold's Gym two weeks ago and am loving the way my muscles are getting back in shape.

Tomorrow is the the 12th day of Christmas, that is the day I am going to get back on the wagon and start catching up with plans that took a sharp detour the past few weeks. I look forward to getting back to my Driver Licence weight and my favorite suit.
