Another long day at the doctor's, followed by choosing some place to eat out *rolling eyes* while still trying to watch what I'm eating. So I picked what I thought was a healthy choice from off the menu, a Boca Veggie Burger with some steak fries. Now I thought that the fries was going to be my splurge. OMG! I didn't know until I got home a hour ago and checked online and found the calorie count of a Red Robin Boca Burger is 606 cal!!!!!!!!!!! WTF! I couldn't f***king believe it. After trying so hard to do the 'right' thing-to try to pick the 'right' or 'so-called' better foods just to find out you are getting SCREWED!

When I purchase veggie burgers from the grocery store they are normally between 90-120 calories per patty. Ok, so even when I put a veggie grillers sandwich together such as follows the calorie count (to follow):
veggie patty, 2pc whole wheat bread 2 spinach leaves, 2 slices raw onion,pc light string cheese,3 pickles slices,yellow mustard, splash of hot sauce
all equaling 270 calories


Nowhere near 606 calories!!!!!!!!!! I could just cry..sigh On top of that when I got home if any of you looked or noticed I had a snack, because I was hungry again. It wasn't as filling as the one I could fix myself.
