First day was good except that last night after receiving some not so great news I blindly walked to the cupboard and before I knew it I had eaten 2 chocolate chip cookies and had taken a bite out of the thrid. I'm such an emotional eater. I threw the rest of the third one in the garbage, drank a glass of water and sat down at the kitchen table and felt sorry for myself. I quickly realized what I was doing and snapped out of that mood! I can't berate myself for a little set back. It's going to take some time but I will get there!

Happy Monday! Well today is day one of no sugar and wheat for this girl. I'm so tired of being in pain all the time and I'm the only one who can change this. I've been hearing so many horror stories of people, young people, getting so sick, being hospitalized or just being so sore that they can barely move and it's all because we make the choice to NOT eat healthy and look after ourselves! Why do we make these choices and choose to live in constant pain?? No more....I am in control of my own life and my health and I am choosing to feel good...feel great! Wish me luck. I know it isn't going to be easy but I'm doing this...come hell or high water I am taking care of myself. It's not even about the weight loss anymore - it's about feeling good and living pain free! :-)

Been discussing things with my sister who recently had her gall bladder removed. She suffered for months and had to basically cut out fat, sugar and carbs for months until she had her surgery. The one good thing about the entire ordeal was that she felt great (besides the GB issues) her joints weren't sore and she had no swelling at all. Even 2 months later she is feeling good...still pain free. I really think the key is to cut out the sugar and bad carbs...at least for awhile! I'm giving it a try. What can it hurt?

Weighed in this morning...sigh...I'm up 2 pounds. very discouraging to say the least. I've been having a lot of swelling in my feet and ankles so that could have something to do with the gain. Also I haven't been sleeping the best. I've decided to try cutting out carbs for a week to see if that will help with the weight loss. Why is this so tough?!?
