I'm 37, struggling with a weight problem. I love ice cream, i'm a total chocoholic, and I work in an office. That commercial that aired a while back where the announcement comes over an intercom "There's cake in the boardroom, I repeat, cake in the boardroom", and you see a herd of people running for the cake, well my office is similar to that, except it's by email, not intercom. For everyone's birthdays we bring in treats, people marry, have kids, leave to another deptartment, we have treats. Treats are brought in for no freakin reason too! It's very hard to turn my nose away from it sometimes, these are my constant battles I fight daily.

My highest weight I got to was 215.5 lbs back in November 2009. That was my starting weight in all of this.

I got sick and tired of always hearing "you carry your weight well!" As much as thats a compliment and being said in the nicest way by my friends, that means to me "hey, you're fat but you're my friend, so I'm saying it nicely". Back around mid Nov/09 I couldnt get that line out of my head, so I started my weight loss journey. I got mad at myself, got up off the couch and went to a weight watchers meeting. I have been going ever since, and even though i've started off a bit slow, i've still lost some weight, enough to notice it a bit on myself, and be happy that i'm that much closer to my goal.

What do I hope to gain from all of this? First and foremost, my health is improving, any weight loss is great for your health. Second, I don't ever want to hear "you carry your weight well" ever again, I want that to change to "holy crap you look awesome!". I also want to be able to shop in the regular stores, not plus size stores. I just want to look good, i'm tired of the fatlife.
