What is a good daily RDI, the 2900cals suggested by this site is just too much!

Hi! I'm new and was wondering if anyone can give me advice of information regarding the RDI.
It seem unusually high (2900cal).
I know that the site considers your weight goals and your exercise routine, but souldn't it be lower?
Hope someone can help!
