Here is the St. Joseph's hospital diet for those of you who want to try it: I just finished the third day today and will post my "results" with a weigh-in tomorrow! 19 days until Mexico trip!
Here it goes...
The Diet works on Chemical Breakdown and is proven. Do not vary or substitute any of the foods. Salt and Pepper may be used, but no other seasonings. Where no quantity is given, therefore no restrictions, other than common sense. This diet is to be used 3 days at a time. In 3 days, you will lose 10 pounds. After 3 days of dieting you can eat normal lowfat foods, but do not over do it. After 4 days, start back on your 3 days diet. Alternating 3 days on and 4 days off. You can lose up to 40 pounds in one month if you stick to this diet.
Day 1
Breakfast
1/2 grapefruit
1 slice of toast
2 tsp peanut butter
Lunch
1/2 cup tuna
1 slice of toast
Dinner
3oz any meat
1 cup string beans
1 cup beets
1 small apple
1 cup vanilla ice cream
2nd Day
Breakfast
1 egg
1 slice of toast
1/2 banana
Lunch
1 cup cottage cheese
5 saltines
Dinner
2 hot dogs
1 cup broccoli
1/2 cup carrots
1/2 banana
1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
Day 3
Breakfast
5 saltine crackers
1 slice of cheddar cheese
1 small apple
Lunch
1 hard boiled egg
1 slice of toast
Dinner
1 cup of tuna
1 cup of beets
1 cup of cauliflower
1/2 cantaloupe
1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
Coffee, Tea and WAter allowed at all meals; no butter on any of the toast

Today I am starting the St Joseph's Hospital Diet. You can lose up to ten lbs in 3 days and up to 40 lbs in a month. Now, that seems excessive, but I am going to try. If i lose weight, I will continue to do it, 4 cycles of 3 days until early june.

so much more these past few days--working on my thesis that is due today-- will be back on track with a run this evening after my last Master's class.

jogged 4 miles this am b4 work. hiked camelback mountain after work. very sore, but feeling better already. 44 days until fabulous mexican vacation with my wonderful marcos
