Today is the beginning. You hit 62 and you have now zero metabolism.
I thought it was bad when I hit menopause 14 years ago and kind of got stuck in the world of hot flashes, which my friends think is hilarious when we are out together and all of a sudden I turn into hothouse tomato. So add 10 pounds. At 55 I decided to do myself a favor and quit smoking (cold turkey). Other than the fact that I turned into a raging lunatic for a time...nobody told me about the depression...smoking dreams...all that good stuff and I gained another 10 pounds but at least I quit smoking. Now comes the hard stuff. I am really tired of nothing fitting properly anymore and if I didn't have to go to work I would probably just become a chubby hermit. Need to knock off the extra weight. Health issues are waiting for me around the corner (actually a few have caught up with me) but weight loss would make them more bearable and even disappear I hope.
