It works, it works, it works! I have read some time ago on FS that migraines can be stopped by drinking pickle juice. This evening I started to get one while preparing dinner. Mine begin with flashing flickers that progress across my line of sight, once the flashes stop (takes about 15 minutes) the pain hits. I can't take pain meds so the only thing I can do when the pain hits is go lie down in a dark, quiet area and pray it doesn't last to long. Well tonight I grabbed the pickle jar out of the refrigerator, ate two dill pickles and drank several ounces if the juice. OMG, it worked! Within five minutes the migraine stopped. I was amazed. Nothing in 40 years has ever stopped the progression of one of my migraines. This is a miracle. To whomever suggested this on FS I am here to tell you thank you. Thank you a thousand times over! 🥒🥒🥒 Yeah, pickles!

Down a little bit this morning but it's frustratingly slow and the way things are going it will probably be up by morning. I've gained and lost this same two pounds over and over again in the past two months. Yes, I know the drills. "You didn't gain it overnight so you won't loss it overnight." "It's better to lose it slowly." "There's no rush, it's healthier to lose it slowly." "Its just water weight." "Its your hormones." Blah, blah, blah!

All those statements don't stop the impatient side of me. I am the type of person who wants/needs/has to be in control. I feel like such a failure when C minus B doesn't equal A. I suppose it's the techie 💻👩‍💻🖱️ in me. Equations, proper coding, good programming always equals a certain outcome. If, then, then that! But dieting breaks all the rules of logic.

The human body, my body at least, breaks the rules and it makes me crazy. Okay, off my soap box now and back on the wagon. Thanks for putting up with my rant. Back to my water, lettuce leaves, and carrots now. Rabbit food! 💦🐇🥕🍃

Up 2/10ths of a pound. Granted I ate some things I shouldn't have last week but still didn't average over 1,000 calories. I was on the run all week with appointments and classes. This week's not looking any better timewise.

Eye doctor appointment went okay. She still didn't write me a new prescription. Says not enough change to warrant new glasses. But I think I could use new reading glasses. That print just keeps getting smaller and smaller. Scheduled another appointment in 6 months. In the meantime she told me to get a pair of readers from Walgreens.

Still got more kitchen clutter to box up for the Goodwill store. Kitchen cupboards are getting more organized so that's a plus. Just the two of us, so I've been trying to clear out the extra dishes, large pots and pans, and big casserole dishes, plus tons of mismatched glasses and cups. Just don't need all that after retirement. I don't cook to to entertain. Most of our friends are big on eating out, that way everyone gets what they want. But I did keep one larger casserole dish and a big salad bowl for taking to holiday get-togethers. That'll have to do.

Hope everyone has a healthy, happy week this week and any problems are tiny ones. 😊
