When I was pregnant with my baby girl the beginning of the year I topped at 175 pounds. After having her in February, I wanted weeks for the scale to go down. They always say that you retain water during pregnancy and you have to wait until your body adjust back. Well after 7 weeks postnatal, the scale stopped at 161. I was devasated; however promised myself that I would not let weight defeat me. I knew if I did not do something immediately I would gain and would have a tougher time getting it off. After my 8 week checkup (I had a c-section) I decided that I will workout and eat right. When I put those two together I started dropping the weight and lost 5 pounds. Had to go back to work when I have a infant at home and because of sleep deprivation soda became my friend Coke to be exact, and the original (I hate diet). Well my weight started to creep back up, and I decided to fully take control. I wean myself off of coke, going from a 24 ounces a day to 12 ounces to none. In place of it I worked out in the morning to give me that rush for the day. Then I found out about Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and lost 7 pounds in a few weeks. Then I joined fatsecret and I was finally out of the 150's. Now I am down to 135. YEAH!!! That is a big accomplishment for me. I went from a size 12 to a size 6. I am so happy. I still have 5 pounds to get to my goal weight of 130, but I feel great and to reward myself I brought a new wardrobe and spent some good money on clothes, so that gives me motivation not to let the weight get back on. I thank Jillian Michaels and Fatsecret for the support system, and that is my story. Don't give up, you owe it to yourself.
