It's that time of year and my feet are feeling it! I worked from 3 p.m. yesterday until 4 a.m. this morning and now my body is all out of whack. I slept until 11 a.m. so I kind of skipped breakfast which means I have limited time ti get in all of my calories. Though I don't work today which means I wont be walking 15 miles so maybe I won't need all of my daily calories. I don't know. Anyway, getting back on track fully is going well and I've been able to resist temptation. Tomorrow will be interesting as it's thanksgiving but as crazy as it is thanksgiving was never my favorite holiday so I think it'll be okay. My headaches are finally gone. Induction always does that to me so I anticipate it. Well that's enough rambling for me I hope you all have a very Atkins filled thanksgiving!

I'll leave you with this quote because it's one of my favorites!

"Sometimes the best way to find out who you are, is to get to that place where you don't have to be anything else."-Dave Matthews Band "

"And you know what? When you least expect it, something great might come along. Something better than you ever planned for".

This guy that I met about a month and a half ago is amazing. He really is. He makes me laugh and smile and all butterfly-ey inside. He challenges me and makes me hopeful and pushes me to be a better person. I love spending time with him and talking with him and thinking about him. I'm myself when i'm around him. He encourages me, helps me when I'm freaking out and makes me feel safe. I never thought I would find someone like him. Someone so great that he he makes me want to be better. He was about to move back to his hometown in texas when we met and he stayed because of me. It's so amazing what happens when you stop trying and just be yourself.

The most important part is that he encourages me to do what I want to do. That includes living my low carb lifestyle. He's supportive and helpful and I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend in my life.

I tell you all this because my birthday is tuesday and he is conspiring with all of my friends to plan something for it and IT'S DRIVING MY COMPLETELY NUTS!!!!!!! I've tried to get the surprise out of so many people. I even spent the night at David's house last night and tried everything I could think of to get him to tell me about the surprise; I fake cried, I threatened him with his life, I even offered him a bribe (I don't handle surprises well... can you tell?? hahahaha). So, I'm slowly going insane. So if you don't hear from me for a few days it means they have locked me in the looney bin! hahahahaha

But in all seriousness, I'm thankful for my friends and boyfriend and family. Last year, a different boyfriend forgot my birthday and then broke up with me 3 days later. Good thing that a$$ is out of my life and I have someone way better!

I hope you all have great people in your life like I do!!! =)

"Your opponent, in the end, is never really the player up to bat, the girl in center field, or the team in the other dugout, or even the ball you must catch. Your opponent is yourself, your negative internal voices, your level of determination."

Hey all!!! I've been sooooo MIA these last few weeks! With traveling and getting the flu (yes, AGAIN! I'm soooo over throwing up!) and being busy working and applying for jobs and defending my thesis and AHHHHHHH! hahahahaha. But life sometimes happens right?

So i'm stll losing, not as fast as I was there for a while but that's okay. I'm sticking with it and that's all that matters!!! I am however going to tweek my diet by adding in a few whole grains and some select fruit but not every day. I'm going to limit myself to 1 serving of whole grains 3 times per week. And add in fruit 2 days per week. I'm going to see how this goes. I'm also not going to have fruit and grains on the same day. So we'll see what happens! I also found a great low carb break at kings soopers/kroger that is only 4 g of carbs per slice!!! So i'm still sticking "low carb" but not "no carb" and I'm going to see how it works for me (I guess it's more of a south beach diet than an atkins or maybe a balance between the two). I think to do this I'll have to limit my calories but that's okay because I hardly ever get in my cals anyway. Plus I'm back on the exercise train with working out every day. My brother and I went for an hour long walk this morning around campus. I'm enjoying my time with him before he goes into the Navy. We started planning a camping trip for june/july and I'm super excited!!!

I also may have figured out what I want to be when I grow up. So that's really exciting!!! I meet with the owner of a company here in my town to talk about working for him! =)

Life can just be a grand thing sometimes!!! =)
