Up early to get a head start on Monday. Got hungry earlier than I usually eat so I thought I would eat just one egg and then have the second egg at normal breakfast time. Much to my great surprise, I really enjoyed that one egg and it filled me up! Still not hungry but drank my shake snack like a good girl.

Finally some evidence on the scale of my efforts! Ate all my carb limit yesterday by lunchtime and never felt hungry again and still don't. I felt desire when I smelled my daughter's food but when I checked with my tummy, I found that I was very satisfied and not in need. Halleluia!

I actually started cutting out carbs last March and have lost 46 pounds but still have 30 to go. I JUST learned about the New Atkins this past week and for the first time in 6 months, added beloved vegies back into my diet! I used to lose 1 pound a week but seem stalled now. My first week of doing the New Atkins, keeping my carbs intake at 20 or below and even exercising 10 minutes a day (baby steps!) and no loss! But I LOVE how I'm eating! At first the idea of 3 sprigs of broc and 3 sprigs of cauliflower didn't seem like a substantial serving at all but I am full and love the food. Just wish I was still losing weight.
