Does weighing daily help or hurt?
My weight fluctuates on a daily basis. I know this and simply weigh to make sure that any lbs gained are lost (and more hopefully) within a day or so - it keeps me on my toes. What you need to remember is that when you weigh yourself, you're weighing all of you ie water, bones, organs etc not just fat. A small gain can be water or food still in your digestive system (the politest way of putting it). I remember complaining to a fitness instructor that i'd put on a lb since the day before and he said "that's a pee!". I thought, he's right and now bear that in mind.

i have to get this weight off!
Poor you! That is a mega tough time you have had. Just be kind to yourself and loose the weight sensibly. I really recommend you read Wheat Belly. Also google Gary Taubes (he wrote The Diet Delusion and Why we get fat and what to do about it). These books are fantastic and will definitely help you to loose weight relatively easily.
