I have not been doing well at all, my weight is balloning

I officially started changing my eating habits on Feb 2, 2012. I did something that is extremely hard but effective. I have not had any sweets, starches or any other white foods, including bread now for 5 days. So far on the scale I have lost about 4 pounds. I pray that is is actual weight and not just water. So from 285 to 281, thats better than nothing. My plan is to do extreme low carb during the week, anywhere from 20 to 40 carbs, and then let Saturday be my treat day. I can only take one day off. I feel that by doing this, I wont feel deprived, and It will give me something to look forward to. Each day I feel stronger. I am looking at this as a form of fasting, because I am staying away from all the things that hurt me, and make my health bad.I am also praying diligently for strength. I am making life changes, not just a temporary fix, then gain the weight back like I have in the past. I have not yet been sucessful in incorperating exercise, but will do so this week.
