I got a surprise ride in last night. I went to the barn to sign a contract, and Goobs was all tacked up. He's a lot more forward than the horse I have been riding, but he was used as a barrel racer before his navicular diagnosis. He is the most willing horse I have ever been on, and super sweet. His ground manners are impeccable.
I kept waking up last night, thinking it was all a dream, but then I remembered that the real reason I was waking up was because I hurt from two straight days of riding!
My new partner is going to help me lose weight!

Somehow, another pound has come off, and I can't say that I understand why. Last night, as I sat at home alone, I fell prey to my usual demons; not wanting to exert any effort to feed myself, but at the same time, wanting carbs.
Bring on the mac and cheese.
I don't know why I continue to do so well, but if I don't kick this into high gear, I won't be doing well for long.
