I am going to start by apologizing for this long posting. I really want to share with y'all great people my definite WIN even though the scale may be my biggest mental challenge. So if you want the juicy bits, just skip to the end.

This week has been a doozy of a rollercoaster ride so far. I will be so glad for next week to be over. I am a deli manager in a grocery store chain in the North East. With Superbowl coming up followed closely by Lent and Valentines, the stress has mounted to epic levels.

Yesterday, I woke up to my oldest cat just thumping me something fierce. I am glad he was. I was having a nose bleed in my sleep. After a call to my doctor, and him "spanking" me verbally about my stress and such, I took yesterday off. Completely off. The only chore I did was wash bedding. I played some games, walked Karma, worked on a diamond painting while I listened to music. Any time I started stressing, my nose would let loose again. I went to bed relatively early and woke up at 3 this morning. I don't feel all the way rested, but I do feel clearer in the brainpan.

Since December, I have made some changes. Not as many as I would like but I am trusting the process. Needless to say, patience is not in my wheel house. I have started carb cycling. I used to drink about a 2 liter of diet Coke a day, now I drink about 20 oz. thanks to my Cirkul water bottles. I still eat my toast, croissants, and potatoes. I do not always get my steps in. But I have added weights to my walks/treadmill routines. I stretch more. I do low impact core exercises, 2 11 minute sessions a day. And other low impact exercises throughout the day. I journal and have started blogging my journey again. My doc says that since I do not have an intimate support system, it's a good way for me to share. And it has helped me to not quite feel so alone in my journey to become a better me. Now if I can just get the stress and anxiety under control. The nose bleed and my 24 pound cat whacking me awake was a rude awakening on that subject.

Let me get to the juicy bits as to not bore y'all further.
On January 1, I did a baseline weigh in, stat check, and measurement of my body. This morning after walking Karma, I did another measurement session. The scale has pretty much plateaued, so I figured what the heck. Work pants are feeling a bit loose, lets find out why. My thighs and calves, I do not expect to go down much further. They have always been bigger as it is my powerhouse.

Oh My God, I sat stunned for a bit.
Neck: -1/2 in.
Bicep: -1/2 in.
Chest (under breast)) -1.5 in.
Chest (across breast): -2.5 in
Calf: -1/2 in.
Thigh: -1/2 in.
Hips: -3.5 in.
Waist: -2.25 in.
That is a whopping 11.75 inches lost across my body!

I call that a MAJOR win.

Thanks for listening.

Blessings to everyone. I hope you all have a wonderful day.
