I'm 35 years old and have been gradually gaining weight for a while. I know at this point in my life, my metabolism is probably crap and losing will only get harder as I get older. I don't want to spend the rest of my life sedentary. I want to enjoy the things I used to enjoy before I gained so much weight - travel, climbing, zip lines. Maybe I'll even get a chance to jump out of a perfectly good airplane if I lose enough. It will take time but I can start with now.
My first weight loss goal - 173 pounds - will put my weight finally down into just the "overweight" bmi category. It will be a 61 pound loss from today. Last time I was 173 pounds, was around 2012. Beyond that goal, I'd like to keep losing until I can comfortably wear size 12 jeans, down from a 22.
As of 6/29/2018, I am starting one of those Nutrisystem Turbo 5-day kits from Walmart.
