Yesterday went really good! Followed all low carb meals. Once again, temptation from co-worker... did you know that those little International Delight's (amaretto flavor!) cups have 6 carbs in 2 tbsp? I think each cup is about 1 tbsp... so two and you're already at 6 carbs. Boo. Anyway, that was my only fall from the track yesterday and so I made sure dinner was little to no carbs. I lost 2.2 lbs since yesterday... under 200 by a sliver but still under 200. Hoping I see the end of the fluctuation by sticking to the Atkins diet.
For some reason, I've always had a much easier time following Atkins than counting calories. I guess I've always felt it was easier to cheat with low cal than carb. And what I mean by that, for me anyway, is that I would be okay until dinner or so and then BOOM 8 wings at B-dubs? don't mind if I do! Side salad too? Maybe a fruity drink? nom nom nom
For me, for some WEIRD reason, it's just easier for me to follow. Is it bread? can't have it. There's no calorie counting there, I just know I can't have bread, so I'm not trying to fudge around, oh-this-won't-hurt , I just can't have it. end of story. Maybe it's a little easier too for me since this is my 4 or 5th real try at this, I kind of have an idea of what I can and cannot eat.
Also, another thing I have been combating today - bored/stressed eating. Today is my day off, so I am working on submitting job applications (STRESS) and I have literally gotten up, walked to the kitchen, and stood there fighting an inner battle to eat everything that isn't tied down. I'm happy to report I've won. I know it's going to take a while before I stop doing that, but I've been able to reason every time. Mind over matter! :)
