Maintenance

Weight flew up during the last week with a lot of stress at work and comfort eating like ice cream. Offered cake at work and had a piece but stopped there at one piece. Had an information evening and provided dinner of lasagne and fancy salads. Didn't help. Not letting it mess with my head. Have enough stress happening so focussing on what I can control. Still been walking of a morning and weights now dropped from 67.2 down to 66.2 over last few days. Not concerned. Maintenance is exactly what it says. Size hasn't changed. Still in size 8 to 10. So all good. Weight will go up and down with food, activity, water retention, and just plain life. Still within my limits of 63 to 67 with goal weight of 65kg so happy.

Be you, enjoy life, reduce stress. Onwards and downwards. ❤
145.9 lb Lost so far: 65.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I’m not good with posting stuff so here goes. I’ve been saying for 2 years I want to weigh 60 kg at 60. I’ll be 60 in July. I fell into old habits. I now need to lose 8 kg in 5 months. I have been on steroids for many years. My specialist says that makes it difficult to lose weight. I told him not to give me excuses. I’ve done it before and can do it again. My exercise is dance. I can’t stand gyms or walking. I feel happier from just taking charge.

Hi Jen. I ballooned up to well over 103kg after having an op on my ankle October 2016. Decided I had to do something about it but couldn't exercise. Researched food combos and menopause and decided to change the way I ate. Needed to get my metabolism moving again. Stopped eating processed meat which was clogging up my gall bladder which was toxic by this stage from nitrates and sulphites. Ate full fat foods, no low fat as it contains hidden sugars. No refined sugars, watch for hidden sugars. 1200 cals per day. Thats the basics. I also have apple cider vinegar in water of a morning which helped to cleanse the gall bladder and the rest of my organs and got the metabolism moving. Lost 40 kg in about 10 months. Been on maintenance since September last year.
