Well gained another 200g. But I am not concerned as body is definitely doing another mini detox. Same effects as the lead detox last year. It's affecting everything. Including my hair, eyes, skin. Fluid and bloating. Headaches. But must be near the end of this detox as I've noticed everything's settling. I've been having red clover tea to help the cleansing organs cope with the detox too. So my metabolism should start up again soon.

I also started using an oatbran powder for reducing cholesterol this week. I am positive that's had an impact too. Probably bad timing given the detox, but I think it's helped speed things up maybe too. Cholesterol not bad, but doctor kept pushing me to go on tablets and I refused. She seems to think at "my age" I should be on something. ah no!!!

I'll do it this way. Naturally. Cholesterol went up with the lead poisoning but has been slowly coming down again, but again it's not bad at all, and my good cholesterol was perfect.

But now my hairs started to grow again and thickening finally. Nails are looking good. Skins not needing moisturiser. So expect my bodies absorbing nutrients better meaning it's processing better again. Hence thinking detox is ending, so I should see a positive change in my weight over next few weeks.

Love all your positive energy. Thank you.🙏

Ah what a life. Onwards and downwards 👇

Well what can I say. I’ll just keep on my eating plan and restricting carbs. Had some bread lately. Not much but any bread causes me to increase weight straight away. Had some pizza too. Not usual for me. But that’s not the root cause of this weight not shifting again.

So last few weeks I was bloated again, fluid. Started back on focussing on the gut. Swear if you get the gut right then the body follows. I’m on my eating plan so continue with that. I know it works. Still having fresh ginger root tea first thing of a morning to reduce inflammation and enhance metabolism throughout day. Wish I’d weighed a week ago, as my bodies deflated a lot since then. But hindsight is a wonderful thing, isn’t it!

Stress with leg and recovery and pain has not helped. I’m sure my body is confused as to what to focus on first. As the knee improves I am sure the metabolism will kick start again too. The knee is still painful at 11 weeks post op. Especially exercising and trying to walk normally. Have to wait another week before I can start resistance, weights and hopefully sideways movement. It’s frustrating. Sure that doesn’t help the weight either. Hamstring tears are healing. No thanks to the physio. See new physio next week. Wish me luck.

Stay focussed Sandra. Sometimes you just need to accept life happens, and let it go. Just breathe.

A Kilo down. Whew. Finally on the downward trend.

Even had a friend drop over this week with fish n chips. I was dreading hopping on the scales but I’ve been good besides that. Stop panicking Sandra.

I wonder what my poor cleansing organs think. Hey Frank, she’s back on her good eating plan. Yeah Myrtle I’m trying to get over the alcohol she had over Xmas. She hasn’t had any for ages and it’s knocked me around. Fred are you doing okay there. All my cleansing organs react when I go back onto my eating plan. Note, it’s not a diet. It’s a lifestyle change for me, hence eating plan.

Anyhoo, my liver always takes the brunt of it. So I know when I get blood tests and my liver and kidneys are doing well, that they are coping okay and the pressure has lifted. I can also feel the changes in my body, in the organs as I progress. Bodily functions are regular and easier. No more detail there. Please! But my skin and hair improve without using creams to camouflage them. After my body clears the toxins my skin improves. My lungs are clearer. Eyes are better. Nose isn’t irritated as much. Nails are stronger. Hair grows and mine changed colour. Weird.

Just breath.

Now back to reality. Surgeon said my graft is fine, I’d torn a couple of pieces of another part of the hamstring. And I’m not behind in my progress. So slow down. No time limits. This next few weeks is crucial up to week 12 as from week 7 the graft is growing blood vessels through it and weakens markedly. So I just need to stay upright. No skydiving for me yet. Lol.

But alas no toilet here again since Saturday. Hopefully the plumber comes today and fixes it. Stress equals weight gain for me. So have a plan A and a plan B not to be discussed here, but you get the picture. So I’m not stressing. . . . . Yet. 😳

P.S. can I celebrate being under 80 kg again? 😂

Oops xmas happened. No excuse, but rather an explanation. Now to get back on the wagon!

Apart from family issues ( kids didn’t contact me, and uncle is terminal now), something popped at the back of my knee while doing the physio exercises Christmas Eve. Physios not replying last week although she is there as reception told me. Physio told me before this happened to just do the exercises I could, as supplied by surgeons physio. I asked for direction, I needed direction, but alas none was forthcoming. Pop!

See the surgeon tomorrow, local doctor thinks or agrees with me that it’s likely the hamstring which was where the graft was taken from for the new ACL in November. The hamstring was also badly sprained by the physio in September, so I am assuming it was still vulnerable at the time of the op.
Anyway treating it as hamstring injury seems to be working although has slowed me down in recovery, which means im stuck at home longer. Mental health impacted, and comfort eating sneaks in, plus Xmas, did I mention Xmas. Ah that is life. Accept it, move on.

Overall only a couple of kilos gained over the whole xmas new year period. I can accept that.

So now, back on my way of eating. I know what works for my body. And diligence, focus, plan some things to do once I am fully mobile again. Get some dreams to focus on to help me move forward.
