I got myself all paranoid a few hours ago when I stepped in the scale and for the 2nd day in a raw it read 204#. I figured Îd gotten cancer or something. But after talking with someone who is not as paranoid as I am, I had to admit — I’ve been trying very hard to monitor what foods I eat, and even if they aren’t the wisest choices, they usually are around 1500 calories a day, which must be a huge change from how I was eating. So, now I can just relax a bit and be happy that my hard work is paying off! I’ve only weighed 1# less than this one time in the past two years — and before that, the only time I was my correct weight was for about 5 months in 1989. And it came right back on, as soon as I was no longer in ketosis. I’m getting to eat fruit and veggies (and most days a big romaine salad), eggs, fish, poultry, and a little bit of pork, sausage, or shrimp (our friend made homemade Jambalaya for dinner Monday night). Sat dinner will be a first for her (She’s Jrwish) and a first for me because I usually don’t eat BBQ - pulled pork, made overnight in a slow cooker! Maybe I’ll post a picture; which I should have done for the Jambalaya, it was so pretty! So, since my birthday this past 2017) April(and also since August) I have lost 24#. I weigh 204. My first big goal is to be under 200#— it’s been more than 10 years since that happened. I’m going to get there by my husband’s birthday, February 5th. Think I can do it??? What I’m doing now — measuring or weighing all my food, and making myself stop eating when I near the day’s allotted calories, is harder - I have to watch everything- but I’m hoping it will last this time. I’m getting to eat fruit and veggies, fish

To stay in ketosis your carbs need to be low, I keep mine under 20. When your body can't find the carbs it will burn your stored fat for fuel thus weight loss! Good luck you can do this!
