Serenitydee's Journal, 06 September 2017

A loss of 300g overnight. Finally its moving again after the plateau last week. One thing I've learned on my journey so far is that this IS MY JOURNEY. Not anyone else's. I make choices. I own my choices. I live my life my way. As such, it is also nothing to do with me how other people choose to lose their weight. Whether they diet, exercise, medicate or go under the knife. But, I feel it is up to me to support anyone who asks for support or who I want to encourage. Not to tell them what to do, or how to do it. We are all different. Our bodies react differently to different foods, and different situations. I just wanted to say that.

A few people have commented to me either here or in person, oh you need to stop now. You need to exercise. etc. My body, my life, my choices, my situation.
I did not choose to not exercise. That choice was made for me after an accident at work and subsequent operation on my ankle. With my wrist I find out today where we go from here. So I still haven't been given clearance to exercise, only light strengthening started a. week ago on the ankle. As I said, not my choice.

in my previous life, I ate what I thought was healthy, having low fat choices not realizing they were high in hidden sugars, with an occasional "bad" choice, and didn't use calorie or portion control. I was walking 5km most mornings before work and climbing mountains, bushwalking, camping and generally very active. I'd like to get back to this, But I have to be patient. I'll gain muscle then, and tone. In the meantime I'll keep culling the fat.

Its sad that the Aussie govt websites indicate that at a size 8 to 10 I am still overweight. I believe that's just not right.

My next goal is 65 kg and the cornetto awaits me. lol. 1.4kg to go. If I get another plateau it could take weeks. lol. BMI now 26.9. Need it under 25 to get out of the overweight range, supposedly. Lost 36.3 kg so far since started recording. On my own life style change since the end of November 2017 after my operation when I could start preparing my own food again.

I suspect having a few nips of Rum liquor with coffee and chocolate didnt help my plateau last week but I made that choice. I enjoyed it. 😀

Onwards and downwards. ❤
