I feel the same i do get on the scale almost every day but if the clothes looks great on the body and you feel great that is all that count. do you do any park runs in stellenbosch or in Somerset area ?

I've only done about 3 park runs at Route 44. But wanna start doing it a bit more. I've gotta dog and 2 kiddies now. So, would take a bit of planning to get everyone there, but wanna make an effort! Do you go regularly? I'm also trying to get into the Strand running club's Tuesday 4km Time Trials more often now. Baba sleeps and big brother stays with dad as I quickly jot off to that. Dunno about tonight though - watching the weather... It's at 6pm every week - wanna join me one day?

What's your times for your Parkrun ?

Ish, MuttonCurrie - I have no idea. I can't remember if I've ever run the whole thing. I've gone with the pram and walking with my parents in the past. I do a 4km Time Trial on Tuesdays and do it inbetween 22-24mins currently. I love speed. So, working on getting the pace up to 5min's /km during the next few weeks (hopefully by the end of September). My speed is directly related to my weight. So, the less I weigh the faster I can go. Below 65kilos I can just-just manage slower than 5mins/km on the short distances. Between 60-63kilos I can definitely do 5mins/km. And then at 57kilos I'm blits!!! (Super passionate about running :-) Sorry for the long story MuttonCurrie)

You'll see Tanya, once your kilo's start dropping, you'll automatically pick up the pace in running!! 2Kg's ago I was also at 7min's per km. And now I can manage 6mins/km. Go for it!! I believe in you!!!!! And ps. remember to fuel your post running workout with protein to rebuild the muscles used! I also picked up weigth in the beginning since started running, but it was because I was much more hungry. Now I fuel it rather than feeding the craving. Keep us posted as you go faster and FASTER!!!

Hi Elsabe I have a similar problem..... can be annoying. I try and prepare meals in advance - that seems to help a bit, and then there is the business breakfast or lunch.... good food, not good for my waistline. lol!!!
