Ok, so lemme try this AGAIN... hopefully my head is more into it...

all this running im doing, i should be slim trim and ready! but im making POOR choices, too much junk and too little protein... im sure that has contributed to the sore legs last week...

lets see how this week goes.... love my naughty carbs and sugars too much but they not lovin me!
150.8 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 18.5 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

Sterkte Tanya! Ek's presies dieselfde - weet wat mens EINTLIK moet eet ipv wat mens in jou mond sit. Ek tel actually gewig op as ek baie draf en nie kyk wat ek eet nie. Abs are made in the kitchen - 90% wat mens eet en 10% wat mens oefen... Alles van die beste!!

try replacing the sugar with artificial sweeteners. it takes a few days to adjust but you will eventually resist sugary goodies.

MuttonCurrie, i tried the sweetners but it got to the point that i couldnt take that artificial taste any more. just made me want the goodies MORE

I've read that sweeteners make you crave sweet stuff more. I went cold turkey and so far so good. I often use exercising as an excuse to eat badly..."I will go to the gym for an hour and then eat that *insert sugary,starchy,flour,cakes snack in this space* I now try and tell myself to think about what I would have lost if I did not give in to temptation... it's a really tough journey for me but I set myself a goal and I'm going to reach it!

The artificial sweeteners spike your insulin just as much as table sugar does. In fact in my humble opinion actually worse than table sugar because it is a chemical. Cold turkey best way to go. Well done Liezlnortje!! You will never look back or regret the decision.

Go for the sweeteners. It's only the older ones that spike insulin IF taken with glucose. Aspartame has been shown to have no effect on insulin levels. And they are only chemicals in the sense that they are amino acids. Also: LIFE SUCKS WITHOUT SOME SWEETNESS IN IT. :)
