A jump up by 600g overnight. Am I worried? No. Yesterday was sports day at school. I knew they would make us lunch, a BBQ, so I factored it into my calories. I didnt have the bread roll. I knew that would help. They also gave us fruit and mini muffins. I chose to eat 2mini muffins. But I ate my own pear. Why? I know apples are higher in carbs and so I brought the pear as I anticipated they would provide apples. As for the muffins, I decided to have them knowing sugar calories do not process the same as fat calories. I accepted that. Then they had drinks after school. I accepted a half glass of wine. I wanted to. I wasn't pressured. I also factored that into my calories.

Then last night I went out to dinner with a friend. I chose the place and looked at the menu before we went. I find if you are going out get a hold of the menu either online or in the place beforehand so you can make a few menu choices without being under pressure sitting in there that night. I chose roast duck with stir fried greens, no rice. I am happy this was a good choice for me. Saying that the sauce it was stir fried in was sweet, possibly honey in there. I accept that. You see there's something very important about my new way of life, my new way of eating. I still need to enjoy life. I know I can still enjoy eating out, at friends, or takeaways, however, I am now more aware of what I put in my mouth, the combinations of foods, portion control, and consequences. I have not jumped a size overnight, to the contrary, the size 10 jeans I bought last week fit better than last week, so I have lost size. Don't let the scales rule you. Live. In moderation. But live. I will have another overnight adjustment down sometime this next week as I know what I did yesterday is not a daily occurrence.
