202122's Journal, 25 June 2017

It just hurts so much - the hunger. I've tried to distract myself but nothing helps. I am so tired of this, I don't want to live like this for the rest of my life :( I don't know what to do. It is good to see the result but the idea of depriving myself from food all my life is just killing me. There have not been a single night in the last 4 months that I hadn't gone to bad without a phisical pain in my stomack. I can't take it anymore :(

if I eat more than 1400kcal per day, I start gaining again. come on, that's so little food, how can anyone be happy and setisfied like this? ugh... Today is not a good day for me... my body is in pain fro. hunger!

I definitely think that you are on to something- feeling deprived forever can't be a sustainable solution. I have noticed that brisk walking cubs my appetite A LOT. I have cravings on the days I don't go for a walk. Perhaps since you feel deprived, you might look into a ketogenic diet where you can eat so many satisfying foods like avocados and steak while losing weight. You can eat huge salads with lovely fatty dressing too. Just an idea.

If you burn 200 calories per day with exercise you can bump your daily calories eaten up to 1600. Then if you use those calories for fatty salad dressing and eat a huge Caesar or other salad each day, you should feel much more satisfied! Make sure you are getting 30-40 grams of fiber each day. That helps you feel more satisfied.

Hey, thank you... Yes, I should change the diet. When you cook at home it's not a problem, but planning healthy and satisfying snacks for work is a challange. I'll manage it somehow... I came so far and I must not give up

If I eat carbs, I often feel hungry. I personally follow a ketogenic protocol and never feel hungry. Even when I did gluten free, low carb, the hunger went away. I read your entries and you are below goal. Maybe you could eat less cabs, add some fat, your calories will go up, but that's not a bad thing. Some toning, by strength training or maybe yoga(my personal favorite), will lean up the areas of your body that feel a little loose. I hope this helped a little. You will figure it out. You've done a great job thus far.

You can eat a lot of most fruits and veggies without adding many calories. Avoid processed foods which add empty calories and don't help your hunger. Drink a glass of water each time you feel hungry and wait 15 minutes, then go ahead and eat. I have to stay around 1400 calories to lose weight.

Also, seems like a lot of weight loss centers have Groupons, which include appetite suppressant and a diet plan, B-12 injections, etc. Might help.

Thank you all for the support :) I will not give up, I will try to find a solution - change diet and do more excercices like you all suggested. It is a common knowledge really... but I've just learnd on my own example that being skinny does not automatically mean being healthy and feeling good in one's skin. I've lost weight not with changing diet, I ate the same but smaller portions. On long term I will not survive like this :)

I was 250lbs when I started my weight lose journey almost 2 years ago. To date I have lost 100 lbs. When I started I ate under 1200 calories..I was hungry all the time but I knew I was re-training my stomach. Those awful hunger pains you are feeling is beacuse your stomach and mind are used to you over eating and now you are shirnking your stomach back to the size it should be. A lot of people would tell me that I was straving myself but I wasn't. I stayed in my calorie range and the weight started coming off. Over time those hunger pains and horrible feelings I was having went away!! I then started walking and I got a step counter. It started with 5,000 steps a day then 10,000 steps as time went on I got up to 25,000 steps a day, due to my knees I have had to lower that number to 20,000 steps a day. I also investing in an adult weighted hula hoop and a rebounder trampoline beacuse those two things are great cardio but easy on your joints! I never cut anything out of my diet..I still haven't. Pizza, cake, ice cream, mash potatoes you name it I still eat it. I just eat less portions. I don't go back for a second plate etc. If you cut things out you will feel deprived..so don't do it! Smaller portions and light exercise! You got this!!! Remember your mind will give in before your body does!! Good luck!

I don't like to go to bed hungry, either. Why not eat the majority of your calories at dinner about 2-3 hours before lights out? And I agree with the other posts: no processed/canned/wrapped food, stick to fresh fruits and veggies for your carbs.
