I spend a lot of my at-home time in the kitchen preparing food and cleaning up before and after food prep. At work my time is spent sitting behind a desk. I have been trying to find ways to increase my movement throughout the day. I try to get up and stretch at least once per hour. Then I walk to the front desk and loop back around through the kitchen and back to my desk. It's a big office and my office is in the very back; only one person is further from the front desk than I am. To the front desk and back is about 200 steps. I also go to the copier a couple times per day, and to the printer about 5 times per day. Each of these treks is about 80 steps. Then there are my bathroom trips, at least 3, at about 50 steps. Trips to the kitchen are about 100 steps; 2 times per day. And from the parking lot in and then out again, 150 steps each way.
So, 1000+540+150+200+300=2190. Add in another 500 total steps for around the house in a typical day. Making it just to 3000 steps per day is not likely, unless I add some deliberate attempt to burn calories. That's why I need to do some Wii fitness EVERY day. And the mornings before work seem to be the best time to do that. I just need to be more consistent.
220.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 50.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I know how you feel, I don't get enough exercise in either. I try to do leg lifts while sitting at my desk (I am at home, but home school, so I'm at a desk a lot) I also have 3 lb weights right next to my desk which I do arm raises with when the boys are busy and don't need my help. Any small thing helps I believe, keep up the great work, one day at a time :)
