I weighed in this morning and found that I have dropped another pound. YAY! I'm finally going down instead of up! lol I have been keeping track of my blood sugar levels, off and on, with my monitor. I've also been trying my best to keep track of the calories I'm consuming via the daily plate website. I didn't do so well tracking yesterday.
I am working on drinking my water. That is something I've always had a hard time weith. I'm also trying a new liquid daily vitamin. Tonight I go work out for the first time this week. I missed Monday night due to parent conference, which turned out better than I expected. lol Not from the stand point of my son's grades but from the stand point of an interested teacher who gives a crap! I missed last night due to errands that couldn't be put off. So, tonight I WILL workout!
I've continued listening to Dr. Phil's Ultimate Weight Solution on CD. I've learned something new that makes sense to me... it's called choice shifting. I'm going to work on doing this! Choice shifting is what takes place when you buy and surround yourself with no fail foods. Instead of buying and eating cookies or ice cream, you have a manderine orange or sugar snap peas. If you don't have bad-for-you food in your house or environment, you can't help but eat the good stuff. Eventually, you'll start to enjoy the good-for-you foods and will prefer that over the bad-for-you foods. Your cravings will go away. He also says "Behave your way to better habits" When you choose a behavior, you choose the consequences of that behavior. Eating behavior is ruled by habit. Thus the choice shifting.
246.0 lb Lost so far: 2.5 lb.    Still to go: 86.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I like the advise you are sharing - "behave your way to better habits" sounds like something we might tell our kids to do...there are consequences for your actions!
