trickiernikki12's Journal, 18 July 2016

Well, it has been over 6 weeks since I've been on here... medical issues have been keeping us traveling all over Florida, and very busy with tests and specialist visits.

I also took a break from LCHF...realized that I didn't miss carbs as much as I thought. Gluten really does make me feel crappy, and the extra weight gain doesn't help.

My abdomen and spine are filled with extra fluid... waiting to see nephrologist to get put on diuretics. Last time I lost 35 pounds of fluid in 2 days...so hopefully I will get back to where I was very soon!

Today is day one back on track with LCHF, so that should help too.

On a good note, I don't have Multiple Myeloma, but lymphoma/leukemia is still not off the table. I DO have Polychromasia Vera +1, but it is mild, and since I get so much blood drawn every 3 weeks plus...for now, no blood letting required. The specialist in Miami says I don't actually need a spinal fusion right now, but I do need their Interventional Radiology department to do a CT-GUIDED SPINAL TAP/BIOPSY/CULTURE to see which antibiotic will kill the Osteomyelitis and discitis. I will be put on IV antibiotics for AT LEAST 8 weeks, probably longer...to ensure we kill it ALL this time.

On a bad note, the Cipro-induced MCTD (Mixed Connective Tissue Disease) has caused my other arm's rotator cuff and bicep muscle to tear...looks and feels worse than my right side...and my left knee has a torn meniscus, is leaking red and yellow bone marrow, has 2 differently shaped lesions, AND avascular necrosis. UUGGHHHH!!!

I REALLY NEED A FULL BODY MRI to evaluate everything at once, instead of doing 3 or 4 MRI's every few weeks.

Say a little prayer for me please...and I've GOT THIS on getting back on track with LCHF...I TRULY feel better physically and mentally while eating this way...so I'm fully ready to get back on the horse!!
