fears of diabetes are subsiding, but i still plan to get myself checked, including an A1c and the test with the sugar water. nevertheless, my habits have already started to change, or rather, return to their pre- halloween glory. Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.
245.2 lb Lost so far: 1.2 lb.    Still to go: 65.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Go back in the forem site (liable to be quite aways back by now)and look for a heading called "When a calorie is NOT a calorie" In that discussion there are links to a over 1 hr. talk by the science writer of the NY times Gary Taube. Very interesting to diabetics or potential diabetics. I am diabetic. by the way. Best of luck.
