dcgarage's Journal, 02 May 2016

I'm not sure what has happened over the past couple weeks. I have stayed on my "diet" and logged foods and tried to eat right 80-90% of the time. I guess the other 10-20% has made up for it. I have made poor food choices on weekends and several evenings, but I have continued with my running. I ran 4.5 miles this past Saturday. I guess regardless of the number on the scale, I am doing better with my running training and am feeling better overall (not that I felt bad before). I just get discouraged because I eat good most of the time, and when I DO eat "bad", it's not THAT bad (in my opinion).

Teri has decided to do a 21-day challenge so last night we threw out an entire garbage bag of junk food that had been stashed away in the cabinets. I am so proud of her for doing this challenge and I am hoping that getting the temptation (junk food) out of the house will make up for my lack of willpower and eliminate my cheat-snacking here and there. Probably one of the big contributors to my lack of weight loss was the almost daily peanut butter sandwich I have been having before bed. Peanut Butter is a big weakness for me. I know it is good in moderation, but I don't understand the concept of moderation sometimes!

Anyways...let's restart this thing and be more diligent with tracking and cleaner, healthier eating!
