Still losing! This will likely be my last month on induction. I've dipped a toe into the waters of OWL but still am not sure I want to take the plunge. My momentum has been so good that I've been steadily losing a the are of 10 lbs per month for the past 4 months. Am I being irrational? Does anyone else have that fear? I need feedback and tip/tricks for successfully leaving induction and going on to OWL on Atkins. OK, FS folk, let me hear from you.....

I've done Atkins before and I know exactly how you feel! I'm just restarting myself again but I always am so nervous about moving onto OWL. I feel like I just blow it all to heck once I do. I think what happens is we go from a fairly strict regime and that bit of freedom goes to our heads! I think when I move to OWL this time I'm not going to look at it as an open door but just slowly introduce one food at a time. Just because they're on the okay list does not mean I have to eat them all. For me anyway, I also feel like I can never really end up adding back in pasta and potatoes because once I eat them once I'm back onto the cravings and there's no way I can limit to eating them occasionally. Also by slowly adding a food at a time you can see what makes your body stop losing weight. Best of luck with moving to OWL! You can do it!

Thanks zimmermk! Appreciate the well wishes! I've been adding in raw almonds occasionally as well as small portions of raspberries and strawberries but zip on the other starches like rice & potatoes. I read somewhere that you can stay on induction as long as 6 months. Do you know if there is a reason (other than sheer bordom) that it would not be healthy to stay on induction longer than 6 months?
