Fell off the wagon a bit there while I was down in Vancouver for 5 days. Wasn't having my shakes for lunch and one day I didn't have any at all. Thought for sure this was going to reflect negatively on the scale but it hasn't! Also only one day of really solid exercise, the other days consisted of just walking to the places I needed to go (skytrain to shopping malls, aquarium, concert, etc)

GROUSE GRIND: Last time I did this beast of a mountain was August 2009, I was possibly about 10 lbs heavier than I was just last week and didn't think I was too terribly out of shape after being in Katimavik. But as I learned last week, I was very out of shape with that extra 10 lbs. I took off 30 minutes off my first time. From 2hr 15 min to 1 hr 45 min!

Even though I have a torn ligament in my left knee, I felt like I went up the mountain with ease. Yes I was still out of breath and taking breaks, but when I finished,my knee hardly hurt at all and I felt so good about myself that I almost wanted to do it again.

I'm not sure what this winter will bring when I go back to work at Powder King, whether all this work I've done isn't going to stick or I'll continue to lose the weight; I absolutely want to go back to Vancouver in the spring and tackle this mountain again and see if I could possibly take even another 30 minutes off!
192.9 lb Lost so far: 22.1 lb.    Still to go: 38.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 0.9 lb a week
