Frustrated by lack of results despite working out more and watching calories. Maybe im building muscle? I am sore every where thanks to lifting consistently for a week and yoga yesterday. I know sore muscles retain water.. But I feel like I should have seen at least something in the way of results by now. To summarize, I'm sore, cranky, tired and frustrated... A real pleasure to be around. That being said it feels good to write this all down and not just complain to my boyfriend. I'm resolving to more active about becoming a part of this community.

163.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 23.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Google "why the scale lies" for insight. When you workout and have sore muscles, your muscles retain water to help them heal. This can mask your losses on the scale temporarily. The scale can show no loss, smaller than usual loss or even a gain. I went for a long bike ride and the scale was up 4 pounds the next day (muscles were crazy sore). The article is very good.

Thanks! I read it, I know there's a lot of truth to it but I still have that moment of fear where I wonder if it is all fat and everything I'm doing is wrong...
