Weighing in cause it's Monday-- no loss.

I bought myself a dress that doesn't fit. Anyone else do this? I have been making myself not look at baby stuff anymore, or at least not buy anything, esp. since we're going to try in less than a year so buying cute outfits no longer feeds the need I used to have. Anyway, so now I'm focusing on clothes for myself! I bought a dress the other day that is not anywhere near my size! It's really cute and I hope to be able to fit into it by next Spring. I'm worried I might be over-shooting size-wise though. I bought a size 12 and it just looks so small! That was the only size they had though but I went back the other day and saw the same dress again, but a size 16, and thought about returning it, but size 16 looked so big! Also, I guess I'm not going to be totally happy at a size 16 and I kinda want it to be my 'triumph dress'. I know I was about a 14/16 at 200 lbs. I wear about a 22/24/(~26) right now, but lately have been wearing some of my old size 18s! My too-tight jeans aren't quite fitting anymore. And I wore a super sexy top today that I've never ever worn-- I've had it over a year and bought it because I just loved the fabric and look, but it was too small for me. Aside from my jeans and pants, I plan on altering all my (expensive!) clothing, mostly tops, to fit. I hope not to have to really do that for awhile, though, not until they're literally falling off. Ones that are to hard to alter I'll save for maternity.

It's funny, I know I'm going to lose the weight and keep it off, I just have to give it time. I feel good about myself and I have more motivation this time. I'm doing this for my health and my family.

:/ My weight hasn't changed much in the last 10 days. I had a planned carb night tonight (pasta, good fruits and veggies, yogurt, and a splurge of popcorn) and then am going back on track tomorrow. This worked before and I'm hoping it'll work again. If I don't see the same results, I won't do it again although I am concerned that this will become habit if it works for me. My ultimate concern would be if I do it too much a-- my body will stop responding or b-- I'll find it harder to get back on track. What happened before was I went out of town for 4 days for a wedding, was a bit naughty the whole time, and gained back 8 lbs. and took them all off in a matter of a couple of days and then plus some over the next little while. I'm hoping just one evening of splurging may give similar results without the initial gain. We will see.

My goals this week:

1-- especially if my carb splurge doesn't work, get rid of the scale in the bathroom so I won't bog myself down with numbers. Also, convince myself to listen to all the literature that says even if the numbers stay the same, losing inches and being in ketosis is good!

2-- No more soda. I think even the caffeine free diet Pepsi is effecting my weight, especially water retention. I know it definitely cuts into my water intake which is not good.

3-- find my pay stub so I can join the gym.

I buy clothes that a re too small for me all the time. If you could look in my closet, You would see that A lot of my clothes staill have tags on them. One day soon I am going to fit them, I just know I am. The first time I did Atkins, I lost 50lbs and I had to have all of my clothes altered. This felt so good but after I gained all the weight back I couldn't get the pants pass my knees and the blouses over my chest. I was so depressed. I am starting to fit back into them and it feels so good. I am never going to be fat again. Well maybe when I get in my 70s'. I plan to relax and live life to the fullest and eat whatever I want to eat at that age!

I haven't bought anything that's too small for me yet, mostly because I don't have enough room in my closet! I can't wait until I move out of my parent's house so I can have a lovely, large closet full of cute clothes that fit me because I'm skinny for once in my life :D
