Okay, feeling a little frustrated. I know what I would tell my members if I were talking to them and so I am practicing on myself:

When you start working out heavy again, it is perfectly natural for you to gain weight as you turn the fat into muscle. Once that lean muscle is achieved you will burn fat faster, it just takes time.....

Don't let the scale define you, you had a good week. You tracked just about everything. You did circuit training video 4 days. You went for a long hike, a walk, and kayaking. All fantastic things.

It was very hot last week and you know you retain water in that heat.

You're a girl and it's about that time, so good old aunt Flo adds a few pounds whenever she visits.

Don't beat yourself up.


Okay, can you tell I gained this week despite all my efforts last week? It's only .8, but I was really hoping for a loss when I did everything so good. But.... next week will be better, my head is in the game. :-)
160.6 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 20.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 1.8 lb a week
