Hello my Peeps:
Feeling a little frustrated this morning. I spent the past week in Van, Texas volunteering with The Traveling Angels, a non profit organization I run. We clean up and rebuild after natural disasters. We built 10 sheds for the folks in Van who lost everything or a lot in the tornado in May. Normally when I go on these trips, I fall into a free for all with my eating, but I had my niece with me who is trying to lose weight, so I was trying to be inspirational and made a concentrated effort to eat a healthy meal at least one meal of the day and eat sensible the other two meals. Didn't really feel like I ate anything too out of the ordinary. We drank a ton of water due to the extreme heat (over 100 degrees every day) and I was active at least 8 hours of the day and even walked at night. I was feeling pretty confident that I lost a couple of lbs at least. Clothes felt a little looser. I waited a couple days before I jumped on the scale to make sure I lost the water weight I typically gain in the heat. So get on the scale.... gained 5.2 lbs. So disappointed. I really need to get focused again. Grrrr... so disappointed.
158.2 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 18.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 1.3 lb a week

When you build muscle you gain weight too. Could it be partly that?

If your clothing fit improved then you did something right despite the scale.

DON'T BE TO HARD ON YOURSELF...YOU WILL GET FOCUSED AGAIN. THE WORK YOU DID IS GREAT AND GOD WILL BLESS!!

That has to be frustrating, Brazilgirl61 may have something- More protein less carb??? Either way, sometimes you just go through a week like that. When you're home you'll be able to control more of what you eat. Hope this week is better.
