I'm participating in two challenges -- hula hooping five days a week, and drinking 8 glasses of water a day. Guess which one will be harder for me?

For the life of me, I just cannot drink water. I hate water! It tastes so bad, and it smells like metal pipes. I'll probably fail the challenge for the first few weeks, as I try to improve my habits.

...maybe Crystal Light counts?
111.2 lb Lost so far: 1.8 lb.    Still to go: 9.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Is your water from a public water source? It might be worthwhile to get pitcher filter or something. I have a reverse osmosis filter at home and it makes the water taste great. I just don't bother drinking the regular tap because it will taste really gross in comparison. Otherwise I can relate because I have trouble drinking water too (it's sad, but for me the issue is just keeping the glass full to drink from), but if something like that can change things for you it's a relatively simple solution.
