I can't explain this one. I've been eating healthily, though not much, as my appetite hasn't been good. I haven't been able to do my exercises properly, which doesn't help, as i've fractured my foot.
This is so heartbreaking as i'm now the heaviest i've ever been and i'm 17 days away from prom. I could not be more upset with myself.
163.6 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 52.7 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Don't be upset! Buy a dress that looks wonderful on you and get your makeup and hair done. I'm sure you will look gorgeous! Eat healthfully but normally - you can't lose a significant amount of weight in 17 days without harming yourself, and you want to feel & look at your best on this occasion - not be starving and unhappy. You did not do anything wrong, you were eating healthy food which is a good first step towards reaching a weight you feel comfortable at! You will eventually find out what works for your body, just hang in there and remember to nourish yourself with wholesome (and low sodium, to reduce any bloat) foods (:

Thanks Achelois. The problem i'm having is that I've already brought my dress and im worried that I won't fit into it, as it was brought when I was smaller. But my mum is making me try it on again tonight, so *fingers crossed* We'll see how it goes.

Buy a dress that fits you, not the other way around, and don't get too frustrated. Weight loss doesn't always happen when we want it too, and it is certainly not a quick thing(not healthily anyways). Just eat small meals several times per day, do small exercises you can do without hurting your foot. (floor exercises like crunches, leg lifts, and flutter kicks are easy and can be done anywhere) IGNORE the scale, keep trying, it will work out!

The people that really care about you will NOT care what dress you wear...so I agree with above...if you do not "fit" (Even as a man, I hate that word), then PLAN B must be a new or different dress...STRESS causes our bodies to make "cortisol" which is a chemical that causes our body to use fat reserves at a slower rate...so focus day by day...FORGIVE yourself...AND MOVE ON...New Dress or NO...your self esteem is NOT worth the hassle of trying to fit into a dress that no longer fits....MY Sincere best wishes AND as I have told my 30 year old daughter for many years...YOU are beautiful on the outside and on the INSIDE...where it REALLY counts!!!!! Take Care and thanks for listening to a meddlin' old man (who does understand life) :)
