Ok - so I gained a few pounds...I did expect that going off keto plus instead of making my dinner we ended up ordering from a local place and I am sure their version of my planned meal was way more calories than I had anticipated. But it is not the norm and I have a plan. I expect/hope that scale starts to turn back around tomorrow!

Super thankful for the FS community - I have a plan shaping up. Someone recommended the DASH diet - yes, duh! I have two cookbooks for DASH and why not try to eat my recommended calories while also tending to my high blood pressure and overall heart health! Not excited about the whole wheat but I can deal with that. I am excited about switching the fish for vegetarian meals (one cookbook has a 21 day diet meal plan that I plan to pick and choose while staying within my calories and desired macro %s). I owe a big thank you to Joe - his calm and detailed explanation about calories and macros is the guide I am following.

My spouse leaves for about 5 days so I will have my hands full. I meal prep each week which is why I felt so lost yesterday. I ate naturally, following the guide from Joe (except for the dinner out) and was happy that I almost naturally would hit the targeted macros. I am not sure if I will get to meal prep this week so I may be winging it over the next week and I still think that is ok. I just need to take this one meal at a time! (Thanks Joe)!

Sometimes we have to take 2 steps back. For us to ultimately get 3 steps ahead. It's all a process of growth! There's no mandatory timetable and that's the beauty in this.
