Annisworkingonit's Journal, 26 February 2024

Good morning FS friends,

So I'm managing the fretting about John by reminding myself of the Serenity Prayer. "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference"

In the current situation irrespective of outcome, I cannot change what is going on with him (the codependent in me lives strong in thinking I can somehow) What I can continue to work on is my own health journey and consciously stop fretting when the anxiety begins to take over. It does not serve me well (cortisol spikes and all that).

And so I carry on. A good productive week past (painting my river room blue continues - lots of detail work). Getting this particular living space to match my vision of 7 years ago is giving me pleasure because I had given up, caving into the fear of falling and thus doing nothing. Being a lighter, more mobile person is allowing me to go up and down the ladder with ease. As it happens, yesterday was the anniversary of the fall that landed me in hospital for 4 months and wheelchair bound. Seems like a bad dream that happened a lifetime ago. On the other hand, it also goes to show how resilient our bodies are despite the damage we inflict on them.

Hi Annisworkingonit, how are you? Lots of places in Canada and America are from England and Ireland. So I am not surprised there's a Redhill. We are twined with Germany, but I don't know why?!! . Anyway. Redhill is a very small town, more like a large village. Will catch up later not been awake long. Very best wishes, Merry Mel 🤩
