Zoo, I'm still doing IF. Still surprised! 🤣😀

Chunky, I was worried because I seemed to be either stalled or gaining. Then this surprise. Haven't fasted since my 30s, a loonnnggg time ago. It's kind of interesting to be pretty hungry at times. Seems like I'm more in touch with my body on this.

@Zoofeather, intermittent fasting, is what IF stands for

Robin, sorry, should have spelled it out. I go to bed pretty early, so I finish my last meal at 6 pm and (except for coffee with sugar free creamer and stevia) begin eating again at 10 am or later. After the first few days I haven't been that hungry. Lots of water, broth and tea, including yerba mate which helps with hunger. Since the time window is restricted, I try to make every meal low cal and really nutritious. It's helped a lot with food cravings.

Getting some of that tea today Yerba mate going try it but I’m not much for caffeine but I like tea’s found one of my local stores has it cheaper than on line cool for me. Hubby might try it too.

FireQueen, yerba mate does have caffeine but for some reason seems to give a different kind of energy than most caffeine drinks. There's probably some science behind it. I've only read the anecdotal stuff and talked to people.

Ok trying it today for first time I like the taste I bought green one not sure if there a difference but I got a pound of it loose leaf. There was one with tiger on it not sure what the difference is. 🫖

FQ, let us know how you do with it. I definitely feel less hungry when I drink a cup between meals.

IF has been my “Go To” approach for weight loss. I don’t miss the a.m. food at all.

Savage, so how do you do it? On and off IF? All the time? or?
09 Feb 24 by member: AncientHippie
1st meal around 11:30 a.m. … next meal around 4:30 - 5:00 p.m. I usually have a snack in between … a piece of fruit and/or 1 cup of Chex Mix. Goal is to stay below 1,500 calories, assuming that I can get 4 - 5 miles of walking completed in the a.m. If I am unable to get the mileage, I’ll “try” to stay at 1,000 - 1,100 calories.

p.s. … it’s a 7 days/week routine.

I never eat after 8pm then eat again around 10:30am with a snack in between, and usually by 5pm or 5:30 I’ve walked 5.9 miles and burned over 3300 calories in total. Started this week to increase my calories to 1200 to 1500 so I can stop starving my body of nutrients and have more energy to keep on track.

Thanks everyone! It's helpful to see how others do it.
