yeah!! turned it around. Yesterday's weigh in was more of a fear of the scale assuming I'd blown it too much. But I'm reading a great book called Mastering Leptin that talks about stress eating. The idea is that (flying directly in the face of conventional wisdom) we SHOULD NOT SNACK) because we're never allowing the full metabolic processes of insulin to take place. You eat, insulin is released, and it takes around 3 hours to start really working. Most of us are already eating again triggering more insulin to be released and the process that was still going to be short circuited. Ideally we should be waiting for 5-6 hours before triggering another release. So I tried that, and did Zumba, and magically the scale moved--A LOT. Not Biggest Loser a lot, but a lot for me :)
