Went to see my Primary Care VA physician, which I had not seen since last September when I weighed 334 pounds (66 pounds heaver). Back then I was borderline diabetic, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and knocking on the door to many more health problems. It was this doctor who referred me to the VA Move weight loss program which has totally changed my life. My blood sugar, cholesterol, and cardiovascular are better than normal. My primary doctor is 60+ years old and runs marathons and looks in his 40's. He had been on my case for a long time to change my life style and I am thankful that I found the way that works for me. The VA MOVE program is mostly educational about nutrition, exercise/activity, motivation/goal setting.
