sleep, or the lack, seems to be one of my biggest challenges. i've been averaging four hours a night (semi normal - or in other words, the way i've been since i was a teen), and yesterday it caught with me; my resistance was low when the cookies called my name. conveniently, the processed carb overload helped induce a coma-like state and i got six hours sleep last night. i know how important sleep is to both my overall health and my waking-state focus and concentration. looking back through notes from when i was consistently gaining on my weight goals i see i was "forcing" myself to get closer to six hours a night. so, that will be part of efforts; no more working past 10:00 PM, in bed by 11:00 PM, and a target of six hours sleep. If i need to be up earlier to meet work commitments (this week it was new product training), then i'll adjust stop times accordingly. ditto weekends when i know i can sleep in (and nap, glorious nap, during the day).
