Weights still toggling. Up 300g but I’m not concerned.

A friend dropped over Thursday with Chinese. I ate the leftovers Saturday. Lots of additives in there. Really yummy though. Thoroughly enjoyed it. And not a hint of regret.

Bodies still recovering from the post op side affects too, especially inflammation and still clearing the effects of the anaesthetic. Apparently that can take up to a month. Plus I did weigh after my first set of exercises for day so knee had ballooned. And emotionally I’m still shattered from the news earlier this week. All has an effect on our journey.

So where to from here.

Continue on my path. I have my own way of eating, and I know it works.
Focus on my healing, my strengthening, my emotional health.
Always accept visitors and if they bring food eat it. Doesn’t mean I have to eat the lot at once but I am going to enjoy myself in those times and be grateful.

As Christmas approaches I would normally prep foods I can eat so I could join in. This years a little different as I’m still not fully walking yet and won’t be for a while yet so balance in the kitchen is an issue. So my plan is to enjoy Christmas food in moderation, allow myself to relax the diet a bit so I can join in, but also have some meals that are straight down the line, in line with my eating plan.

I bought some turkey and prawns, and a nitrate sulphite free ham. Only do this once per year. Team that with salads and veges and I’ll still be reasonably good. As for the desserts………….. I will allow myself some in moderation. For my mental health. That’s the plan Stan. 😜

Christmas is a time to enjoy, and a great excuse to have prawns :)

Yes that it is for sure. I haven't had much bread so I'm looking forward to a prawn, avocado and lettuce sandwich with seafood sauce. Mmmm. That's boxing days lunch. 😋

Enjoy your sandwich on Boxing Day. My whole family loves the prawn salad sandwiches on boxing day also. Be kind to yourself and let your body heal.
