2.5 mile walk last night pretty late. Dinner around 9:30. waited too long to eat and went over a bit. today, we do it again, but have puppy class. when you're the one they assign to work with the challenging personalities, it gets a little old sometimes. I just have to remember that they feed off of negative emotion and never give them the pleasure.

Blob down, muscle up, foot a little better. wearing ugly "cloud shoes" so I have clown feet. another busy day.

onwards.

Are you a dog trainer? That’s so cool!!! We have a foster pup right now that is a doll with us but is lashing out at others (I believe it’s fear based and he’s guarding his resource aka us). I’m just starting some basic training skills with him this week ☺️

Sloppy writing on my part. I lead GSD class a lot, but I'm not a trainer. I have a new 9 month GSD puppy and he is challenging, and working with him is interesting as he is somewhat fearful still, but working on growing his confidence. My comment regarding the challenging personalities was really about some of the folks I work with. Reward for success is that they give you more of the same. I just have a whole lot of them all at once these days. Funny that the same thing applies to humans as dogs though. it really does. with regard to the new dog, Chance, I'm lucky in that I have access to a master trainer friend and the GSD rescue also provides lots of help and advice as they want new owners/fosters to succeed. now, if I could just get that rogue program manager to sit and stay when I tell him to!
