rufreel's Journal, 30 August 2022

I have to admit shock and frustration when I found that I had gone up about 2 pounds this morning. I mean I've just adjusted my RDI down for my previous weight loss and I even had extra calories left over last night. So I started Googling, not what the heck as I wanted to say, but how I could gain two pounds in one night. I found this response on a free Noom comment and it makes a great deal of sense. "Your true weight is an average of your last 3 weigh-ins. When you take the average of 3 weigh-ins, you get rid of the unusually high or low weights (the extremes), to give you a more accurate idea of your weight". This statement calmed me down. I also found a scientific type article about the body storing glycogen which I sort of understood. So, whatever my weight is today, I am still me, trying to be a good person and I'm going to have a happy day anyway. ☺️

Trust the process and be patient, If you are logging and calorie deficit, your weight will drop. It's that patience thing that's hard sometimes ☺️

Exactly what LessFluffy said. ,If you are eating in a calorie deficit, you will lose. A fluctuation like 1.6lbs is normal. It could just be water weight. Check how much sodium you're consuming. It's about the overall trajectory of your weight loss, not a single day.
