One week in, and seeing some good results it seems. I am quite pleased with the decrease in weight, seeing as I haven't been exercising nearly as much as I should, but I have been following some of the thermal calorie burning techniques from my last entry.
First weeks can often be deceiving though, so we'll see how the second week pans out...particularly after this cheat day that I have in front of me today. If my next entry on next Saturday puts me into the 240's, I will say without doubt that the slow carb method works, and well.
The diet has been easier to follow than I anticipated, it just takes some willpower. I caved in and ate a plantain yesterday with some Puerto Rican food, as it was like a gift and I didn't want to be rude. It was the only starch I ate all week, so I'm alright with it. Planning my meals the day ahead pretty much insures I won't fly off the deep end with a meal. To anyone contemplating this diet: salsa, guacamole, hot sauce, and other assorted condiments are your friend.
New supplements came in the mail today, so I can start taking them appropriately. This past week I took them (green tea, garlic, and Lipoic Acid) but didn't have the Policosinol, and all of my supplements were quite weak and from Walmart while the good ones were coming from amazon.com. As I typed that last paragraph, the ones from amazon arrived haha, so this week, I'll have that going for me as well.
Next week, I re-measure myself, lets do it!
251.5 lb Lost so far: 7.5 lb.    Still to go: 16.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
