Up workday early because stuff to do. Practicing for my eventual retirement, I guess. doing a rowing workout as soon as I hit enter here, may try and get a swim in later, but I have people coming over so there may not be time. I have 15-20 years to practice.

yesterday was a super super good day. I took all three dogs out for a very slow, very cautious walk and we did two miles with no issues. he seems to feel good today and less depressed. I also feel better knowing he's getting some actual exercise. if we can minimize pain events and just keep him mobile, I think that's a really good life.

I played a dark screen YouTube video all night last night to minimize the crazy ass fireworks down the street. it was seems to have worked. I really wish my neighbor with scary friends would go talk to those idiots who are just plain old punks but I can't make that happen. "SLEEP Instantly Within 4 Minutes Heavy RAIN with ThunderStorm | Rain sounds Black Screen for sleep" worked magic. I heard them, the dogs heard them, but no one freaked out because there was already similar noise going.

Bump from yesterday's delicious lunch, not worried. Got more chores and a shower to get in before 5. That's it. not touching the work computer. will try a short walk with dogs time permitting. I almost forgot! when we went to lunch, I grabbed a little sheath dress out of the closet and tossed it on, not only does it still fit, it's quite roomy in all the right places and there is no lycra involved. so the rowing and the swimming really are helping with form and I'm leaner in good places. that was exciting and it was BF that noticed which is even better because I was not really paying attention. I still need to get that stupid selfie stick so I can do my back, lol.

now that I recognize hummingbird feathers, my collection is growing quickly. I need to figure out what to do with them at some point. checked with a bird friend, it's not an inordinate amount, nothing is wrong given the number of birds I have. on the Hooded Oriole front, I have three pairs for sure, probably more. it was a really good year for them. I'm so happy. when I get the palms cleaned up, we're going to leave three feet of skirt so they have somewhere to nest. that's another project in and of itself and I can't do it myself anymore. the trees were only about 10' tall when I moved here, now, there's one that's at least 75'.

time to walk away from the computer. I hope everyone has a happy and healthy and safe Fourth of July. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 no matter what our problems are, the fact that we can voice our opinions freely without fear of government retribution is an amazing thing, and that is what makes us great. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Pic of pups from the park and Hogan in his fancy new Y-harness. we're working on getting Shasta to quit attacking her friend on walks. it's hard to get her to understand he can't roughhouse anymore, but at least we're going outside again!

enjoy the day, Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

This was our first pack walk in over two months since Hogan got put on bed rest. It changed his entire demeanor. He was getting depressed being stuck in the house. We were very careful and I had two different people on standby if we needed a car ride back to the house. Thankfully, he did really well.

Oh what wonderful good news!!👍❤️ People are crazy that don’t think animals have emotions!!! My neighbor’s horse died and my horse went through such a deep, dark, depression it was unbelievable!😢 It took him a long while to feel better! I am glad Hogan got to have his spirits uplifted. 👏👏👏💕
