I think the scales are buggered as even hubby has lost weight! NOT! Minute weight loss.

This week has been challenging in lots of ways. Particularly the drop in activity. I watched with anxiety, the surplus calories being carried through from early in the week and pared down my food consumption. It has been very hard as I loves me grub.

Saturday was spent at the Bristol Harbourside Festival. Had a brilliant day, big full English breakfast and then lots of ale, cider and gin tasting into the early evening.

Here's a tip to consider. If one buys a full English breakfast in Wetherspoons, chances are the calorie count is going to be over 1100 calories as it drips with added fat. If you do similar meal at home, grill; poach; microwave; and dry fry eggs in a non-stick pan; also keep the toast to two halves (single slice); minimum or no spread; lots of garlic and flavourings e.g. chilli, shallots, harissa; go easy on the sugar laden condiments - easily save 350 - 400 calories.

On Sunday, again, keep a very close eye on what I put in me gob. Have noticed that if I drink a lot of water, I tend not to go mad. Every one is different, just telling it how it is for me.

School holidays have started so I will be getting to the pool first thing in the morning. It was lush this morning, whole lane to myself.

Keep safe out there in this heat. Looking forward to the Commonwealth Games and good luck to the Sniper in his shooting events in Dundee.
